From travelers to travelers: the story behind NomDesk

We weren't born in an office. We were born on the road.

NomDesk started taking shape thousands of kilometers from home, in Poland. That's where we met, two people passionate about travelling, exploring the world and understanding new cultures. After years of friendship, endless conversations and reunions in Spain, the question about our future always ended up in the same place: we wanted to build something that truly helped people who live on the move.

Looking around us, the reality was obvious. Many of our friends, and we ourselves, were full time or part time digital nomads. We all shared the same dream of being able to work from anywhere on the planet, but we also faced the same logistical problem whenever we landed somewhere new.

The problem with buying when your life isn't fixed

When you travel and settle in a city for a few weeks or months, you don't need to own anything. But to work well, a laptop isn't enough. You need a decent monitor, comfortable peripherals and a good chair.

Until now, there were two options:

1. Spend hundreds of euros on new equipment, only to sell it at a loss before boarding your next flight.
2. Turn to traditional office rental, an old, rigid sector full of bureaucracy, built for traditional companies, not for today's society or young nomads.

That's where it clicked: if you don't buy an apartment when you move somewhere for three months, why would you buy your work setup?

That's how NomDesk was born.
